JOIN THE MOVEMENT TO REBUILD THE NDP
This last year has brought a profound sense of hope and change to the NDP with the election of Avi Lewis as our new leader. People across the country are stepping forward to get involved and we want you to be part of that. Join us as we build on the hard work done by past generations, and fight for a Canada where no one is left behind.
The Winnipeg Centre NDP will hold our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 13. This is a great opportunity to find out how you can get involved. We hope you can join us!
Snacks and drinks will be provided, including halal, gluten-free, and vegan options.
WHO CAN ATTEND?
Any NDP member can attend. NDP members who reside in Winnipeg Centre can also vote. We will verify your residence in Winnipeg Centre based on a verbal indication of your residential address. No ID is needed.
If you aren’t yet a member (or your membership has lapsed), you can join or renew when you arrive!
Please RSVP at: https://www.ndp.ca/winnipeg-centre-ndp-agm-2026. There is no deadline to RSVP, but we appreciate as many early RSVPs as possible so we know how many attendees to expect.
The space meets general accessibility requirements for entrances and washrooms. If you have any other accessibility needs or questions, please indicate them in your RSVP or send us an email [email protected].
There is free street parking near the venue.
The venue can be reached by Winnipeg Transit lines F6, D17 and 28. If you would like bus tickets to attend, please let us know via phone or email.
We hope that you can join us, and we are committed to ensuring you can attend! If you have any needs we have not considered that you require to attend, please let us know and we will do our best to provide accommodation.
WHAT WILL WE DO?
Our NDP Member of Parliament, Leah Gazan, will talk about her work, and why it’s so important to have an NDP that fights for a world where everyone’s human rights are respected.
You will hear guest speakers talk about organizing work in the community.
Your Winnipeg Centre NDP riding association will report on the past year, including:
- The impact of Avi Lewis’ election as Federal NDP leader and how it has reinvigorated the NDP across the country,
- The work of our delegation at the 2026 Federal NDP Convention,
- The successful fundraiser dinner we held in May 2026 with Avi Lewis and Leah Gazan, and
- The financial status of the riding association and our election readiness.
We will also hold elections for officers for the next year. Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions about nominations.
And most importantly - we will discuss our plans for the upcoming year and how you can get involved!
